Dinner party games

A dinner party game should be easy to explain and easy to stop. These are short rounds on a TV, played from everyone's phone, and all about food so they fit the table.

  1. Bluff Buffet2-12 · TV

Five short rounds. Good between dinner and dessert.

  2. Impasta3-10 · Pack

A round is about five minutes, so you can play one and keep talking.

  3. Would Eat1-12 · Phone or TV

For the night you can't agree where to go for dinner in the first place.

Keeping it short

Pick one game and say up front how many rounds. Bluff Buffet is five rounds. Impasta lets the host end the game after any round.

If there is no TV in the dining room, a laptop at the end of the table works.

How to set it up

  1. Open the game on a laptop, smart TV browser or a tablet everyone can see. A laptop plugged into the TV works best.
  2. The screen shows a four-letter room code and a QR code.
  3. Everyone opens eatnow.lol/play on their phone and types the code with their name.
  4. The first person to open the room is the host and taps Start.
