Thanksgiving games for the whole table

After the meal, put a game on the TV and pass nothing around: everyone plays from their own phone. They take a minute to start and they're about food, which suits the day.

  1. Bluff Buffet2-12 · TV

The easiest one for a mixed table of grandparents, cousins and kids who can read. One sentence a round.

  2. Impasta3-10 · Pack

Good with 6 or more. Someone got pumpkin pie and everyone else got sweet potato pie. Find them.

  3. Would Eat1-12 · Phone or TV

For the next morning, when nobody wants leftovers and the family has to pick takeout.

  4. Picnic Panic1-8 · Phone or TV

A quick race for the kids' table, on phones or the TV.

Tips for a big family

Play on the biggest screen in the house and sit close enough to read it. Turn the TV volume up for the reveals.

Give one or two older relatives a phone to share with a kid. A pair can play as one player.

Bluff Buffet takes about 15 minutes for five rounds. Impasta rounds take about five minutes each, so it's easy to stop when pie is ready.

How to set it up

  1. Open the game on a laptop, smart TV browser or a tablet everyone can see. A laptop plugged into the TV works best.
  2. The screen shows a four-letter room code and a QR code.
  3. Everyone opens eatnow.lol/play on their phone and types the code with their name.
  4. The first person to open the room is the host and taps Start.
