Potluck games

At a potluck people arrive at different times and hold a plate in one hand, so the best games let anyone jump in, need one hand and finish fast. These run on a TV with everyone's phone.

1. Bluff Buffet2-12 · TV

   One sentence a round, one hand free. Late arrivals join between rounds. Free.

2. Would Eat1-12 · Phone or TV

   Pick the theme for the next potluck: swipe on foods together and see what everyone would bring.

3. Impasta3-10 · Pack

   Once plates are down, for a group of 4 to 10.

Running games at a potluck

Start a Bluff Buffet room as people arrive and leave the code on the TV. Anyone can join from their phone at eatnow.lol/play before the next round starts.

Keep rounds short and announce the last one before dessert.

How to set it up

1. Open the game on a laptop, smart TV browser or a tablet everyone can see. A laptop plugged into the TV works best.
2. The screen shows a four-letter room code and a QR code.
3. Everyone opens eatnow.lol/play on their phone and types the code with their name.
4. The first person to open the room is the host and taps Start.
